Jäätelökauppias Epub º Hardcover jäätelökauppias epub, Jäätelökauppias eBookWinner of the 2013 European Union Prize for Literature Really Really What was the point in all of that The author forgot to add a plot and her writing leaves a lot to be desired Avoid I get she was trying to do something meta but it just did not work at all Honestly one of the worst things I've ever read and that is saying something

Jäätelökauppias Epub º Hardcover jäätelökauppias epub, Jäätelökauppias eBookI won this book through Goodreads First Reads giveaway In no way has this influenced my opinion or rating of this bookI feel that I need to start off my saying that this synopsis does not do this book justice This synopsis gives a very very vague idea of what about 13 of this book is about and nothing about the rest of it which is completely different and uite a bit confusingI was repeatedly reminded of Ernest Hemingway’s style of writing during this book in that sometimes the dialogue between characters would go on and on without any obvious indication of who’s talking with whom and no other descriptions are provided To me this is by far not my favorite style of writing It’s confusing and time consuming to have to stop reading and go back a few sentences to try and figure out who’s talking with whom and even then as the reader you’re not completely sureThis was not the whole book but there are many sections that incorporate

Jäätelökauppias Epub º Hardcover jäätelökauppias epub, Jäätelökauppias eBookI received a free copy of this book from Net Galley in exchange for an honest review Two years after the end of World War II a director sets out to mimic real life by creating a film without a script where the actors learn the story and their part in it as they go The tale unfolds of a young couple on the run during the Nazi occupation but soon the characters they play begin to take on lives of their own As the lines between fiction and reality blur the Secret Police become convinced that the director holds information that could compromise the nation’s security and they decide to interrogate him about his fictional plot Fear and desire merge in this imaginative world where coincidence is never just that and overlapping identities and un

Jäätelökauppias Epub º Hardcover jäätelökauppias epub, Jäätelökauppias eBookuite likely this book will be liked or approved of by people from the areas it describes East Europe under oppressive rule We see the point of view of an actress making a film although the director is probably making it up as he goes along because he refuses to show anyone the script bar the next scene So as the actress then gets obsessed with the life of this film character we endure every scene twice first as the set work drags on in farmhouses country roads and spruce forests then as though the film were the story There are a few changes to male points of view so we get tired of following the jumps when there really isn't a plot Everyone seems obsessed with their bodily functions amputated limbs and with killing chickens to get into character Maybe they had no entertainment in Czechoslovakia Contrasts are mainly one liners such as a mention of Bohemian crystal chandeliers in a disused ballroom when everyone like the actress's mother is shabby Towards the end
